CARING FOR YOUR THE KOOPLES PIECES

Our different materials have been selected by our style team for their quality and their durability from season to season. In order to preserve them, we encourage you to follow our advice to make your leather goods, bags or clothing last for years to come.

LEATHER GOODS

Information

Leather is a living material that tends to dry out and develop a patina over time.

It gathers in places and smooths in others... giving it a unique vintage look.

Care

Twice a year, we recommend applying a neutral nourishing cream with a soft cloth to beautify the leather and restore its original shine. Then polish with a dry cloth.

In the event of stains, it is best to take your piece to a leather specialist.

KNITWEAR

Information

Merino, cashmere, mohair or alpaca... Our woollens love water!

We recommend that you handwash them regularly with cold water.

Advice

In order to preserve their appearance, use a special wool detergent and avoid adding softener which can damage the fibers.

Rinse gently, never wring out your wool and air-dry it flat on a clean cloth.

SILK AND VISCOSE

Information

Satin, muslin, Crêpe de Chine... Silk and viscose should be handwashed inside out using cold water.

Soak for no more than 5 minutes to prevent the fibers from stretching.

Advice

Air-dry on a hanger.

Silk should be ironed on the reverse side, preferably while it is still wet and at a low temperature to avoid breaking the fibers.

SYNTHETICS

Information

As for polyester, it can be machine washed inside out at 30°C and preferably in a laundry net.

For special washing instructions (devoré velvet, metal or lace inserts), follow the instructions on the label inside the garment.

Advice

Iron at a low temperature, taking care to cover the garment with a cloth to prevent the iron coming into direct contact with the fabric.

COTTON

Information

Pique, poplin, end-on-end, jersey, Oxford or Chambray. Cottons are soft, absorbent, insulating and above all, they can be machine washed at 30°C.

Advice

Wash contrasting colors separately to avoid possible color transfer.

DENIM

Information

To preserve the fabric quality of your denim pieces, we recommend machine washing them at 30°.

Advice

Use a liquid detergent rather than a powder.

And most importantly, wash the denim inside out and do not overload your machine to avoid white marks.

BAGS

Information

Apply a neutral nourishing cream to your bag once a year to beautify the leather and restore its original shine.

Advice

Crocodile, python and snake-effect leathers are not subject to water repellent treatment.

Therefore, it is advisable to waterproof them while protecting the metalwork to prevent it from galvanizing.

SHOES

Information

Just like our ready-to-wear pieces, leather boots and shoes tend to develop a patina over time.

Advice

For suede shoes, regular maintenance with a suede brush is recommended after waterproofing.

To prevent damaging the integrity of the shoes, get them resoled as soon as you notice any developing holes.

COATS AND TAILORING

Information

Dry cleaning is preferred for all suit jackets and pants as well as faux furs, coats and parkas.

Advice

Dry cleaning is strongly discouraged for pieces with glued studs, as the solvents can melt the glue.

In this case, follow the instructions on the label inside the garment.
